This romantic Belle Époque chandelier is a perfect mix of elegance and whimsy. The frame is cast in heavy bronze with rich gilt detailing, its surface alive with scrolling foliage, laurel wreaths and ribbon motifs. Over time, the metal has developed a beautiful patina that gives the piece real depth and character, while the soft gilt highlights still catch the light beautifully.
Three playful cherubs swing from rope-twisted arms, each holding a delicate flower-form sconce — a charming detail that brings movement and personality to the design. At the centre, a frosted glass bowl anchors the piece. It’s thick, weighty glass, etched with heart and foliate motifs and finished with crisp hand-cut detailing. When lit, the glass diffuses the light softly and casts a gentle glow, highlighting every curve and engraving.
The balance of warm gilt bronze against the cool, frosted glass is what makes this chandelier so special — classic Louis XVI revival style with a romantic, storybook feel. It’s a statement piece that would bring a sense of history and charm to an entrance, bedroom or dining space.
